RACCOONS!!!

Hey Jammers! HUGE update today! I'll start with RACCOONS!

The dance is jumping from one foot to the other:

And the play is really weird. It starts jamming out and nodding it's head and snapping it's fingers (opposable thumbs?):

 Then it falls backwards and starts spazzing. I found a glitch with the Wreath Necklace!

LOL!

There is also raccoons plushies and toys now! And raccoons items in the Conservation Museum!

Another thing is that if you haven't taken your Online Safety Quiz, you can find it in the Conservation Museum!

Today's brand new item is an Eagle Hat!

The winner of the hat contest at last! Also, when I bought my blue one, it was my 250th clothing item! Neat!
Maybe this means EAGLE ANIMALS!!?

I also heard some very terrible news today. ANOTHER PET AS A MONTHLY GIFT! What happened to ITEMS!?!?!? SPIKED COLLARS! GIANT LION PLUSHIES! ELF TAIL ARMOR!

Things I didn't know were rare

Hey Jammers! I've been playing Animal Jam for a while now, and these are a few items I didn't know were rare. I randomly came up with this post about 2 minutes ago.

Demon Masks: I've done some research, but yeah all the different colors are confusing. XP
But will someone tell me if mine is rare?

Pigtails: I swear I saw these (non-rare) in Jam Mart Clothing a few months ago... But I'm stupid and I was probably hallucinating because I wanted them to be there. :p

Acheivement Glitch

Hey Jammers! I'm sorry if that last post was misleading to anyone, I'm not quitting this blog for a LONG time! Animal Jam Video Guide is a blog for me and my friend to post Animal Jam videos, as opposed to posting them on YouTube. I just got wonderful news! I am having a two-hour delay due to sleet! You know what that means? More Animal Jam! 

On to what I was planning on talking about. You may know I made my account, fairyalena101, as a new account once I got membership. My original account was fairyalena. When I was looking at my acheivements, I noticed that my "First Pet!" acheivement came before my "Join the Club!" acheivement. 

I was on another account in a different tab, and it looked the same.

Strange glitch, huh?

Journey Book

Hey Jammers! You can find the items on any other Animal Jam blog, so I'm not going to post about that (for the record I HATE HATE HATE human things on AJ!!!). I wanted to let you know that me and my friend FACEPALM47331 have started a new blog! It is the Animal Jam Video Guide! Nice URL, right? That's what facepalm gets for letting me make the URL. Facepalm posted a few Journey Book guides! Yay! Hopefully we will get out some videos on how to do glitches aswell! That's all for now!

Hey Jammers! Today's item isn't really rare anymore... it's been realeased a lot recently and is a common "Sky High item".

At least I don't have to take a new picture!

On The Daily Explorer they've posted some Awesome Jammer Art. There is also a new News Crew assignment!!!

I wasn't surprised when they realeased the birds of paradise thing because I was hearing about it a lot on National Geographic and another great resource is the Cornell Birds-of-Paradise Project! What a coincedence! I love birds-of-paradise and I have already watched all the neat videos on that site! Wish me luck in the News Crew Assignment!!

NO RACCOONS!!!

Hey Jammers! Apparantally, AJHQ wants to be axe-murdered in their sleep because they didn't release raccoons!
Also there is a new party! A Paradise Party!!

Also, in the Jamaa Journal, it says that National Geographic is celebrating 125 years! I'll have to look for some of those banners around Jamaa!

Friendship Parties and Paradise Parties are very common. The list goes like Paradise, Friendship, another. For example, right now, the list looks like: Paradise Party, Friendship Party, Horses Only Party, Paradise Party, Friendship Party, Pets Only Party, etc.

I can't find anything more interesting than that going on in Animal Jam. They are probably preparing for raccoons tomorrow! And mark my words, if they make us wait ANOTHER two weeks they will DIE. But not really because they created Animal Jam!

Pastries

Hey Jammers! You may think I am going to make a post about Pink Treasure or Roses, but I'm not, because you probably already know because of EVERY OTHER ANIMAL JAM BLOG. 
While Aldan may be filled with "beans and tacos," at my school, at least within my slightly insane (Everyone thinks their friends are insane; we're just a bunch of lunatics.) friend group, the trending joke is "pastries".
A boy in my class started it with "CAKE". Then, we had a competition on who could name the most desserts. Of course, I won, naming  cookies, biscuits, gelatins, pastries, ice cream, pies, pudding, and candies. There was no rule for not having Wikipedia open...
Then, I convinced another boy I was a pastry genius. (We were talking through Google Docs during class with a few other kids.) He said, "I thought you actually knew all that stuff, but then you started typing extremely long things in an extremely short amount of time."

Anyway, my point is, anyone want to learn about pastries? It is after all, Fat Tuesday, if you know what that is...

Pastry is the name given to various kinds of baked products made from ingredients such as flour, sugar,milk, butter, shortening, baking powder, and/or eggs. Small tarts and other sweet baked products are called "pastries." 
Pastry may also refer to the dough from which such baked products are made. Pastry dough is rolled out thinly and used as a base for baked products. Common pastry dishes include pies, tarts, quiches and pasties.
Pastry is differentiated from bread by having a higher fat content, which contributes to a flaky or crumbly texture. A good pastry is light and airy and fatty, but firm enough to support the weight of the filling. When making a shortcrust pastry, care must be taken to blend the fat and flour thoroughly before adding any liquid. This ensures that the flour granules are adequately coated with fat and less likely to develop gluten. On the other hand, overmixing results in long gluten strands that toughen the pastry. In other types of pastry, such as Danish pastry and croissants, the characteristic flaky texture is achieved by repeatedly rolling out a dough similar to that for yeast bread, spreading it with butter, and folding it to produce many thin layers of folds.
